-------------
DAVID MYERS
DIED
MARCH 29, 1929
AGE 97 YEARS
--------------------------
FATHER
-------------------------

My great great grandfather David Myers was born David Malzmann in Labun, Russian Empire (today, Yurovshchina, Ukraine). He married Chaye Tsiril Kesselman in Europe. They had six children who lived to adulthood. David and Chaye (who was later called Ida) and all their children emigrated to the United States and resided in New York City. David and Chaye emigrated in 1913. [1]

David was buried within one of the two First Lubiner Progressive Benevolent Association (landsmanschaft) burial plots in Old Montefiore Cemetery, Queens, New York.

This tombstone and his death certificate indicate advanced  age, with an estimated year of birth of 1832. I believe, based on other records for David, that this birth estimate may be a bit early. [2]
