So I've ordered the record again. Once I get it (again) I will post. The file contains notes from an interview with Dave Ett and an affidavit from one of his sisters vouching for him. Dave's interview explains why his surname was written as Wenkert on the manifest, when his father's surname was Ett (his parents were not married civilly in Austria). It also includes direction by the US Immigration Service to correct the manifest record (cross out Wenkert and replace with Ett).
